My blog posts are scheduled for Wednesdays, aka Women Crush Wednesdays so today I decided to bring to you one of my ‘crushes’ - Lara Croft. Yes, she is just a computer image and movie character but this chick can kick some serious ass and look cool doing it.
Lara has gone through many changes over her history, from her debut in Tomb Raider in 1996 to her ‘regeneration’ on the latest adaptation Rise of the Tomb Raider (am I right in thinking that there is another coming out soon - Shadow of the Tomb Raider?).
I have always been a huge fan of Tomb Raider games since the first came out. I used to spend hours honing my skills (as well as dying over and over again). I recently starting playing them again not long watching Felicia Day’s YouTube videos of herself playing Rise of the Tomb Raider (check them out here).
I am now currently playing both Rise of the Tomb Raider and 2012’s Tomb Raider - both of which I am currently ‘stuck’ in (if anyone can help give me hints/tips it would be greatly appreciated).
My favourite would have to be Rise of the Tomb Raider at the moment. It has so many layers - it’s a third person shooter, a problem solver and a squirrel murdering simulator (just kidding, put you do get to make some pretty impression weaponry and clothing through hunting).
